Terminal (CLI)

The install script works on Linux (x86-64) and macOS (Apple silicon) and needs curl and tar. It fetches the active version and checks its SHA-256 before installing it.

Then sign in. Odincode opens odincode.ai so you can approve the device:

Manual installation

Unpack the archive and put odincode somewhere on your PATH, e.g. ~/.odincode/bin.

Installation

macOS

  1. Open the zip file. Safari unpacks it into Downloads by itself.
  2. Move Odincode.app to Applications.
  3. Open the app. The first time, macOS asks whether to open an app downloaded from the internet: click Open.

Linux (.deb)

  1. Install the package:
    sudo apt install ./odincode-desktop-linux-amd64.deb
  2. Start Odincode from the applications menu.
  3. Remove it again with sudo apt remove odincode-desktop

Linux (AppImage)

  1. Make the file executable and start it:
    chmod +x odincode-desktop-linux-x86_64.AppImage
    ./odincode-desktop-linux-x86_64.AppImage
  2. Needs FUSE 2 (the libfuse2t64 package on Ubuntu).
  3. On Ubuntu 24 and later: use the .deb, which installs the AppArmor profile the app needs.

Compare the checksum with the one shown next to the file. On macOS:
